The assurance of occupational health is a core element of the Helicopters New Zealand Integrated Management System.
HNZ operates across diverse geographical areas, from the Polar regions to the equator, from deserts to jungles and oceans. The subsequent health demands placed on our staff are managed through a robust and comprehensive Occupational Health Management system.
HNZ conducts detailed Health Risk Assessments prior to mobilization and then periodically over the duration of any given scope of work. These assessments, combined with the outputs of safety cases and specialised tools such as Marine Overall Survival Equations, produce detailed risk controls to be employed for the assurance of occupational health.
