The HNZ Group is committed to a vision of world class environmental outcomes in the execution of its operations.
As evidence of its ability to manage environmental issues, to date HNZ has over 25 years of uninterrupted annual deployment of helicopters to the Antarctic in support of numerous scientific agencies and government departments. All of these operations have been conducted within the stringent, internationally-mandated environmental constraints imposed on operations in this area and without incident.
Environmental Management is currently addressed through the provisions of the HNZ Environmental Management Plan (EMP). The template for this plan is held as a ‘daughter’ document of the Safety Case. Given the diversity of HNZ's operations, the EMP is applied on a contract-by-contract basis, with each plan being tailored to local conditions and infrastructure.
